Andrew Garcia

Mass of Christian Burial for Andrew C. Garcia, 59, of Little River-Academy will be held 10 AM, Monday, May 7, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Alirio Fernandez-Bueno officiating. A time of visitation will take place from 5 to 7 PM Sunday May 6, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 PM.

Andrew Garcia passed from this life on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Garcia was born in Temple to Trinidad and Refugia Garcia on July 28, 1958.

Andrew was born and raised in the Temple and Central Texas Area. He worked for Delta Centrifugal for 25 years. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mr. Garcia loved to be outside and to go fishing whenever he could with friends and family. He enjoyed cooking and grilling for any occasion. He had a 1957 Chevy that he was extremely proud of and loved to take his grandkids and nieces and nephews for rides. Andrew was famous for his sense of humor and how he loved to give everyone a hard time. From nicknames to good jokes he was always surrounded by laughter everywhere he went. Mr. Garcia had never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. Above all else Andrew was a family man. There was no greater treasure in life than his beloved family. He loved to take his family on trips to the beach and on cruises. Without a doubt Andrew lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Garcia is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 42 wonderful years, Mary Carmen Garcia; daughter, Loriann Hernandez and husband, Ricky; son, Andrew Garcia and wife Kelly; brothers Johnny Garcia and wife, Martha F., Roberto Garcia, Treno "Treni" Garcia and wife, Martha J.; sisters, Adelita Batres, Augustina Guana, Estella Ruiz; and especially his six wonderful grandchildren.
