Andrew Burtchell

Andrew J. Burtchell, 81, passed away, Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Temple. A Funeral Service will be 11:00am, Monday, October 3, 2011 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel, Temple, with Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Val Verde Cemetery under the direction of HarperTalasek Funeral Home, Temple. A visitation will be Sunday from 1:003:00pm, at the funeral home.
Andrew was born November 25, 1929 in Temple, Texas, to the late Clyde W. Burtchell and Lucille Glass Burtchell. On August 1, 1954, he married Shirley A. Pairett in Rogers, Texas. She preceded him in death January 5, 2011. He served in the Air Force from 19471950. For 31 years he worked at Safeway Grocery Store, before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Steve Burtchell, sister Betty Morgan, and brother Wayne Burtchell.
Andrew is survived by sons: Terry Burtchell and wife Brandy of Troy, Robert Burtchell and wife Jennifer of Temple daughterinlaw, Lisa Burtchell of Rock Creek, Texas 5 sisters, Dorothy Stewart, Verdie Clifton, Elizabeth Freeman, Margaret Montgomery, Linda Boulette, 7 grandchildren, 2 great, grandchildren, and a host of friends.
