Amelia Tobar

Funeral Services for Amelia Alcado Tobar, 88, of Temple, will be held 10 AM Friday, November 30, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple. She will be laid to rest at Reeds Lake Cemetery following the services. A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the funeral home with a rosary recited at 6 PM.

Mrs. Tobar passed from this life on November 26, 2018. Amelia Alcado Tobar was born August 25, 1930, to Salvador and Esther Alcado in Runge, TX.

Amelia loved spending time with her family. She worked in several manufacturing companies to help support her children. She was married to the love of her life for 50+ years. She fought a very courageous fight with cancer for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Tobar; a son, Louis Tobar; her parents; and three sisters, Manuela De la Rosa, Dolores Tobar, and Maria Tobar.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are, her sons, Angelo Tobar and wife Rose, and Johnny Tobar and wife Joann; five daughters, Dominga Zaragoza, Paula Tobar, Andrea Sedillo and husband Edward, Josephine Salce and husband John, and Esther Tobar; 34 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; 14 great great great grandchildren; as well as many other beloved friends and family.
