Amadora Katherine Nava Mungia, 83, of Temple, Texas, was born April 30, 1943, in Cuero, Texas, to Mary Antonia and Joe Nava Sr. A devoted homemaker, Amadora dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a home filled with faith, warmth and love.

Amadora was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother and beloved Tía. Her life was a beautiful reflection of her faith in the Lord. She loved God with all her heart and faithfully walked in His ways, sharing His love through her kindness, compassion and servant’s heart.

She found great joy in cooking delicious meals, baking for those she loved, crocheting treasured gifts and creating beautiful paintings. Amadora always placed the needs of others before her own and made certain everyone around her felt welcomed, cared for and deeply loved. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith and unconditional love touched countless lives and will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Alfred Perez Mungia Jr.; and brothers, Joe Nava Jr., Benny Nava and Ernest Nava.

Amadora is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Perez Mungia Sr.; son, Thomas Mungia and wife Gloria; daughters, Patsy Donoso and husband Arthur, MaryAlice Espinoza and husband Robert, Linda Hernandez and husband David, and Rosa Mungia Ortiz and husband Bertoldo Jr.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tommy Garza Mungia, Thomas Mungia Jr., Tony Mungia, Taylor Mungia, Amadora Mungia, April Mungia, Christina Mungia, Alexandra Mungia, Alfred Perez Mungia III, Arthur Ray Donoso Jr., Angelica Donoso Tobar, David Mungia Hernandez Jr., Danny Mungia Hernandez, Angelica Hernandez Brickhouse, Robyn Mungia Espinoza, Robert Jacob Espinoza, Rocky Eric Espinoza, Amy Ortiz, Bertoldo Ortiz III and Ricky Ortiz; 54 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Her family will forever treasure the love, wisdom and beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her unconditional love touched countless lives, and she will forever be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2026, from 6 to 8pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral services will take place the following morning, July 28, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Temple.
