Alvin Harris

Alvin Wayne Harris, 58, of Temple, died Sunday, August 25, 2013.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Temple Garden of Memories with Brother Bill Koinm of Heights Baptist Church officiating. In keeping with Waynes love of his Texas Longhorns, the family has requested that everyone wear their favorite UT shirt no dark, somber colors allowed

Wayne was born March 24, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to Harold and Wilma Connevey Harris. He worked for HEB in the Maintenance Department for over 20 years. He loved to fish and was an avid UT fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Harris, and by a sister, Crystal Ann Harris.

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Harris of Temple two sons, Ray Dean Harris and Michael Dwayne Harris, both of Homosassa, Florida two brothers, Lloyd Harris and Buddy Harris, both of Temple two sisters, Barbara Sue Lee and Tammy both of Temple and his granddaughter, Sheana Lynn Harris.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
