Alta Seay

Alta Southerland Seay of Temple passed away November 12, 2009 at her residence, after a long illness. Graveside services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with Chaplain Bruce Mercer officiating.

Alta Seay was born to Roger Earl and Lora Sawyer Southerland in Temple. On September 23, 1949, she was married to Morris A. Seay in Belton. She worked as a Business Education teacher at Rogers High School for 32 years. Mrs. Seay also taught in Salado, Moody, Rio Grande City, and London, Texas. She was a member of the National Business Educators Association as well as American Business Womens Association. Mrs. Seay was of Church of Christ faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband on November 13, 1990.

Survivors include her daughter, Loralyn Seay of Temple.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Monday at the funeral home.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
