Alta Reyes

Alta Grace Reyes, 92, of Temple, passed away, Monday, February 20, 2012 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am, Friday, February 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Temple, TX. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park under the direction of HarperTalasek Funeral Home, Temple, TX. A visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:007:00pm, followed by a 7:00pm rosary.

Mrs. Reyes was born November 26, 1919 in Temple, TX, the daughter of the late Jose Guerrero and Justa Munoz Guerrero. She was married to Jesus Jose Reyes, Sr., he preceded her in death. Alta worked for the Santa Fe Hospital, under the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, as a Nurses Aide, and later a Dietary Aide for 33 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and was active in the Guadalupanas. She also attended St. Marys Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Alta is survived by children Mary E. Reyes of Temple, Linda G. Reyes of Temple, Jesus J. Reyes, Jr., of California, Roy R. Reyes of Temple, Esmeralda B. Brandon of Temple, 9 grandchildren, 10 great, grandchildren and a host of dear friends.
