Alma Mcbride

Services for Alma M. McBride, 83, of Temple will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Rick Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mrs. McBride went to be with her Heavenly Father Friday, January 2, at her home in Temple.

Alma was born May 29, 1931 in Temple to Willie Thurman Jernigan and Effie May Sissom Jernigan. She graduated from Temple High School and married the love of her life of 65 years James Dillard McBride. She was the best mother her children could ask for and was a member of the Bethel Assemblies of God Church in Temple.

Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by a brother, David Jernigan; and a sister, Effie Louise Jernigan Easterwood.

Alma is survived by her husband, James; her son, William Allen McBride and wife Angela; her daughter, Carla McBride; brother, Jimmy Jernigan and wife Rosemary; and grandchildren, Logan McBride and Megan McBride.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, at the funeral home.
