Alma Bomer

Services for Alma Evelyn Davis Bomer, 93, of Temple, will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Mrs. Bomer died Tuesday, February 4, at a local nursing facility.

She was born in Salado, Texas on September 16, 1921 to Elmo Maxwell Davis, Jr. and Mary Frances Bunker Davis. She received an associates degree from Central City Commercial College in Waco. On March 31, 1942, she married Randolph Franklin Bomer in Waco. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1961.

Mrs. Bomer was the supervising accountant over accounts receivable and credit for Taylor Brothers Jewelers for 13 years, retiring in 1987. She was a past member of Eastern Star in Mathis past Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Assembly in Mathis past President of Business Professional Women of Mathis compiler, historian and author of The Davis Data Ancestors and Descendents of John and Mary Mooney Davis and a member of the First Methodist Church of Mathis.

She is survived by Lajuana Buescher of Dallas and Judy Bunker of Little River.
