Alice Mary Francis peacefully passed away at the age of 77 on January 11th, 2024. She lived in Temple, Texas and resided in her home for 20 years with her husband Paul Francis who passed away in October 2018, and her wonderful son Paul who moved to Texas and took care of her for her last years on this Earth. Together Paul and Alice built a beautiful home full of memories filled with love, fun, and faith. A family built strong together like a knot entwined, pulled and tugged, but never broken, a family of true love.
Alice was born on August 26th, 1946, in Albany, NY from her mother Hendrieka Useforge and father John Weiler. In her growing years she loved music, dancing, and what she would call “soda pop”. At the young age of 17 Alice being her beautiful self was in the street talking to some friends when a handsome stud muffin roles her way and tells her to get out of the street, and she pleasantly gave him the bird. From this moment on she fell in love with her husband Paul Daniel Francis Sr. a hardworking military man filled with love and fun, a care above all, a true handyman, together they lived a joyous prosperous life married for 54 years and had 3 beautiful children.
Alice was a woman of writing who became a published author for a few of her poems, one day in the future to make a book of her magnificence, she had a true way with words. She was a multimedia artist who loved all types of painting and color, she performed ink work, and always enjoyed any challenge that came her way. As a writer and artist, she loved the outdoors and wildlife, in older age watching the birds and squirrels with her husband. She was a sports lover at heart, baseball, basketball, and football were her favorite. At first a true New Yorker and ultimate Yankee fan until she agreed that Texas won her heart. She enjoyed swimming, reading, decorating for all seasons and holidays, playing games with her family, having fun times and memories always. Alice loved gardening, she had vegetables, fruits, and was always famous for her beautiful rose gardens, the ones that smelt the best. She was a home caretaker, a loving Mother and a wonderful Grandmother.

A couple of special thanks are in need for Alice’s family who helped both her and her husband throughout their lives. To Lee Bushbaker for the lifetime of love and care to her parents and whole family, for being a stone to hold us together, for always being our courage and strength, you are a blessing to all of us. To Tina Francis for the last of her years living with her Mom and Dad caring for them physically and financially, building strong faith, friendship, and love. To Alice’s grandchildren and great grand children who brought so much joy to her and her husband’s lives, they will forever hold a special place in each of their hearts. A special thanks is in need to her son Paul Daniel Francis Jr., someone who took exceptional care of his mother till her last days. He took care of her in every way he could, and she was always happy. They became best friends and truly needed each other more than they could imagine. Alice loved and cherished the care Paul gave her and was more than thankful. Alice made sure we knew how much she loved us on her last days, made us laugh every day, and made us at peace with her new journey to her new home in heaven. You will forever be missed, and we hope you are dancing with your husband once again. God Bless you beautiful.
