Alfredo Gomez, Sr.

Alfredo Gomez, Sr., age 50 of Temple, passed from this life Thursday, April 18, 2024, at home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Alfredo was born on July 16, 1973, to Jose Gomez Sr. and Lidia Moreno in Lamesa, Texas. He graduated from Sands high School. Alfredo loved Bar-B-Que and watching the Dallas Cowboys play football. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving, caring, and silly, family-oriented man, always making people laugh. He lit up the room with joy when he entered. He will be missed by so many that love him dearly.

Alfredo is preceded in death by his father, Jose Gomez Sr.; and his brother, Joe Gomez Jr.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his mother, Lidia Moreno; loving wife, Leobijilda Gomez; sons, Gerardo Hernandez, and Alfredo Gomez, Jr.; daughter, Veronica Arianna Gomez; brothers, Jesse Gomez, and Albert Gomez; sisters, Julie Ramirez, and Mary Ann Muse; and 6 grandchildren, Carolyn Jennifer Hernandez, King Karanun Meadows, Kashton Dior Gomez, Kamairi Sy’aire Gomez, Ble’syn Paula Gomez, and Jenesis Aldridge.

The family would like to extend a special thank you from the bottom of their hearts to everyone that has donated and for condolences for this moment to lay their father to rest.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm with a holy rosary recited at 7 pm Friday, May 3, 2024, at the funeral home.
