Services for Alfredo Freddy Acevedo, Jr., 64, of Temple, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Reverend Melisio Peter officiating.
Freddy died Monday, November 24, at a local hospital.
He was born to Alfredo Acevedo, Sr. and Jesusa Garcia in New Braunfels, Texas on September 25, 1950. He attended Canyon High School in New Braunfels. He worked for Lacks furniture in New Braunfels for a number of years, for the City of New Braunfels street department, and for Texas Hydraulics in Temple. Freddy also did volunteer work at St. Vincents. He moved to Temple in 1995 and lived there until his sudden passing.
Freddy is survived by his exwife, Patra Patsy Acevedo of New Braunfels daughter, Marcelina Garcia of Austin son, Alex Acevedo of New Braunfels sister, Gloria Tapley Joseph of Temple three brothers, Roland Acevedo Serena of Sequin, Joe Garcia Marie of Belton, and Guadalupe Garcia Virginia of Temple. He leaves behind 18 nieces and nephews, 31 greatnieces and nephews, and 5 greatgreat nieces and nephews.
