Alfred Klemme

Alfred T. Klemme, 86, of Dallas passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be held at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple on Friday October 26 from 6pm8pm. Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 27 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with Rev. Jason Hamilton officiating. A memorial service will be held at NorthPark Presbyterian Church in Dallas on Sunday, October 28 at 3 p.m.

Alfred Theophil Klemme was born April 4, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to Theophil and Thusnelda Klemme. He served honorably in the United States Navy in the Pacific front in World War II starting in 1944 and was discharged in 1946. He graduated from University of Missouri Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He married LaVerne Beckerle in 1949. Alfred retired from KerrMcGee Chemical Corporation in 1991and moved to Temple to be near his children. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Temple and later a member of First United Methodist Church, Temple. His greatest pleasures were his children and his grandchildren and the St. Louis Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 63 years, LaVerne Klemme daughter, Lois Theriot and her husband Thomas Theriot of Houston daughter, Linda Glover and her husband Mike Glover of Temple son Christian Klemme and his wife Kelly Klemme of Dallas grandson, Allen Glover of Los Angeles granddaughter, Caitlin Klemme of Dallas and grandson, Kyle Klemme of Dallas.
