Alberto Martinez

Alberto Martinez, Sr., 86 of Temple died Friday, December 31, 2010 in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Martinez was born April 7, 1924 to Romulo and Balbina Garza Martinez in Robstown.
He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Temple.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Guerra Martinez on September 15, 1989.
He is survived by two sons Albert Martinez, Jr. of Steger, IL and Baldemar Martinez of Temple four daughters Anita Flores and Juanita Huerta of Chicago, IL, and Alicia Gonzalez and Isabelle Paredes of Temple 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 6 greatgreat grandchildren and 6 greatgreatgreat grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Rick Lasly officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
