Albert "Pete" Guss Krause was born June 16, 1922 to Albert Adolph Krause and Ella Stabeno Krause in Bartlett.
Mr. Krause passed away on Tuesday, January 24 at a local hospital.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a construction supervisor, cost containment specialist and a problem solution analyst for Shell Oil for 37 years. He invested in real estate and the stock market. When he retired he was a rancher, real estate investor and stock market advisor. He was active in his church and charities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He was cherished by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 65 years, Edna Elizabeth Miller Krause; two brothers, Ed and Harlan; and a sister, Pauline.
Survivors include his wife, Gina; brother, Calvin Krause; sister, Evelyn Tomes; two daughters, Donna Kelly Carson and husband Billy, and Mary Helen Morrison and husband Steve; grandchildren, Shawn Patrick Kelly, Jennifer Morrison, and Seth William Morrison and wife Kayla.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to the First Lutheran Church of Temple or to a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Friday January 27, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
Fellowship will begin at noon before the service. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January, 28 at First Lutheran Church in Temple. Burial will follow in Belfalls Cemetery.
Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
