A.B. Brisbin

A.B. Brisbin, 84, of Temple, passed away Monday, October 28, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 31, at Bellwood Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Dana Wilhelmsen officiating.

Mr. Brisbin was born September 13, 1929 in Rogers, Texas to the late Benjamin B. Brisbin and Lottie Myrtle Tharp Brisbin. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy from 1948 1956. On December 29, 1955, he married Florine E. Teichelman in Taylor, Texas. She preceded him in death in 1996.

He received a BBA from the University of Texas and was employed with the Internal Revenue Service for 23 years. He lived in the Temple area for over 40 years and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Mr. Brisbin is survived by his sons, Brent Brisbin of Temple, Texas and Jeff Brisbin of Robert Lee, Texas sisters, June Russell of Longview, Texas and Ruth Collins of Dallas, Texas a brother, Roy Brisbin of Tacoma, Washington 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple.
