Ricky Love

Ricky Don Love, age 69 of Little River-Academy, passed from this life Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Monday, March 20, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Ricky was born on February 20, 1954, to Donald Roy and Frances Delores (Biehle) Love in Taylor, Texas. He graduated from Academy High School and attended Temple College. In 1974, he married Sarah Ann Malone in Little River Academy where they resided until his death. Ricky retired from Wilson Art. He was involved with football, basketball, and baseball at Academy Middle and High School as a Chain Gang Member and Score Keeper and umpired for Little League Baseball and Softball for many years.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Love; and sister, Susan Denise Hill.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah Ann (Malone) Love; brothers, Howard “Pete” Love, and Travis Love; sister, Becky Cervenka; son, Ryan William Love; daughter, Brandee Leigh Love; and one grandson (on the way).
